    Getting Around

You can cover more ground if you use Shuttle-UM, which runs continuously all day. See our map in program on pages 8–9, or download pdf map here (coming soon) for bus stops. Board our red and white buses, free of charge, at bus stops along the designated routes. Take the "North Campus" bus for those events located north of Campus Drive, and the "South Campus" bus for those south of Campus Drive. Signage and guides on the bus will help you determine the best stop for a particular event.

    First Aid and Safety

A First Aid station is located on McKeldin Mall or you can visit the Health Center. See map in program on pages 8–9, or download pdf map here (coming soon). In the event of severe weather or imminent danger, campus sirens will sound to signal all on campus to seek shelter in the nearest building.

    Rain Locations

In the event of heavy rain, most outdoor events will move into the nearest building. These larger outdoor activities will move as follows:

    Event From To (rain location)
The Big Top McKeldin Mall Reckord Armory
    Jumpin´ on the Mall:

    Restrooms

Restrooms are available in every building on campus and most are open for Maryland Day. Restrooms are marked for your convenience.

Maryland Day staff will contact the appropriate authorities, who will further assist you. If you have a cell phone, you may also call University Public Safety at 301.405.3555.

    Information Services
