2002 Class Gift Unveiling
After 10 years, the 2002 Class Gift is ready to be unveiled. Be one of the first to see this gift which captures the historic events that occurred from fall 2001 to fall 2002.


A Model Excavation
The Department of Anthropology uses archaeology to increase understanding of the city of Annapolis' past. The project, Archaeology in Annapolis, has an interactive exhibit to show young visitors how to use archaeological methods to learn about history.


Air Force UH-1N Huey Helicopter
See one of the 1st Helicopter Squadron's UH-1N Huey helicopters. Talk to the air crew and find out what these Air Force warriors do. This crew is located at Andrews Air Force Base and conducts high-priority airlift and emergency medical evacuation missions in the Washington area, and supports the National Search and Rescue Plan.

Baltimore Archaeology Project
The Baltimore Archaeology Project focuses on the investigation of a village called Texas in Baltimore County, Md. The town was inhabited by Irish-American quarry laborers and their families between 1846 and 1930. Visit our exhibit to learn about our findings.


Bladensburg Archaeology Project
The Maryland State Highway Administration, with the Department of Anthropology, conducted archaeological investigations of three sites in Bladensburg, Md. Learn about the history of the former colonial port town and the battle fought there during the War of 1812.
